Ideally, I'll find something sort of freelance where I can make my own hours and gradually add more and more hours as LOs need me a little less. Right now, the plan is for me to stay home for at least a year or two after this LO is born, but by that point #2 will probably be on the way... so, unsure. I'd love to be able to be home while they are in school, to be class mother and stuff like that, but we'll see how finances are at that point. Most likely I'd be working nights and weekends at first anyway, so if everything works out, we won't need childcare. I'm also looking into working from home, so again, we wouldn't need childcare. Ideally it will be something informal where I can set my own hours. My MIL cleans/runs errands for a couple of elderly ladies which is perfect because it is flexible but still provides income. I plan on having at least one more LO if not two before "closing up shop" so that puts me at least 6-7 years away from thinking about going back (longer if we have a third.) By then, the little experience I have in my field of work will probably be irrelevant so I doubt I would be able to get a job in that field without additional schooling. I guess I could work part time in a retail setting...</p> <p>I'd like to stay home even while LOs are in school. I just don't know how DH would feel about that. I always look at job postings and saw one that I liked, but if I go back to work than DD can't go to preschool (we wouldn't be able to afford full day and full day wouldn't cover a working full day). I guess that really means I can't go back to work until DS is in Kindergarden, so five years from now. When do you think you'll go back, or will you? </p>
