@looch: Sure:

125-150g of flour
125ml sparkling water
125ml water
a little milk (I wing this one and it works with additional water as well - the dough needs to be rather runny)
pinch of salt
2 eggs

That's it. Throw it all in a bowl and mix, let it sit for a couple of minutes stirr and that's it. Fry in the oil coated pan (I use the largest we have).

She goes to school, but I have her at home on Fridays, and whenever school is out (5 weeks throughout the year). We rotate through things like: quesadillas, burritos, curry, hummus wraps, english muffin pizzas, grilled cheese + soup, pb&j, and "chik'n" nuggets + hummus. I usually print off the school's lunch menu for each month to give me extra ideas.

On our frequent rotation: quinoa "burgers" with cheese, meatballs, veggie omelet, chicken sausage, chicken nuggets, cheese and crackers, mac n cheese, deconstructed sandwich, peanut butter crackers or toast.

Then I add a cooked veg and fresh fruit to one of the above.

My LO will consistently eat eggs for lunch so I go with that as it's an easy win. Add in grated veggies to mKe an omelette sometimes, but he usually just loves scrambled in coconut oil. And puffed corn on the side. Otherwise it's toast with PB or avocado. Cherry tomatoes are a good side too. Lunch is totally our easiest meal!

Grilled cheese and tomato soup, pasta, eggs, I also make and freeze mini meatloaves and use those if I have nothing else, I freeze chili in small portions, sometimes I just do frozen veggies and cheese. I always keep cooked quinoa on hand and mix veggies and stuff into it.
When all else fails, mishmash of stuff. Yogurt, cheese, crackers, chickpeas. Nothing cohesive but I try to get a few food groups in somehow. :-)
Yours are older though so may be more opinionated :-)

We do pasta a couple of times a week because it's quick and can be prepared an endless number of ways. Sandwiches, avocado toast, fruit, raw veggies, hummus, guacamole, and beans feature often.

Leftovers make it into the rotation a lot. Otherwise, it's often a PB sandwich or turkey & cheese (no bread) with a fruit and/or veggie side like grape tomatoes, carrot sticks, strawberries, peaches, etc.

We go to Chick Fil A every now and then too :)

My younger is at home w/ nanny on my work days and older is home 2 days a week. We typically eat lots of leftovers - pasta, pizza, leftover stews/soups/chili....then also....wrap sandwiches (3.5 year old)...grilled cheese and soup, PB sandwich, quesadillas, chicken nuggets, mac n cheese.

Leftovers. It's the most convenient for me, and it's hard enough making breakfast and dinner everyday. Lunch is my time to take a break, and the kids are used to leftovers.

@lamariniere: We do scrambles eggs with some pan fried potatoes (Bratkartoffeln), sugarless big pancakes (more like crepe/Pfannkuchen) with applesauce or even hartier stuffings, grilled oven veggies, pasta or store bought gnocchi with an easy sauce, potatoes with quark and occasionally some yoghurt with cornflaskes or müsli. I also like prebacked pizza crust and then just adding the toppings for a quick lunch.

We also do a lot of sandwiches- toaster oven grilled cheese (I can even sneak a slice of turkey breast on them now- she's not a big meat eater), pb&j; hummus with crackers and veggies, cut up cheese and crackers and frozen veggies, leftovers, bagel with cream cheese. Sometimes just yogurt and fruit as long as she didn't have that for breakfast.

It does get pretty repetitive for both of us. She doesn't mind.

Sandwiches and leftovers here too. DS is always asking for PB&J, grilled cheese or grilled ham and cheese, and quesadillas. I offer leftovers first but he usually refers a sandwich and eats leftovers for dinner.

Sometimes leftovers if it was food he liked. Right now my 21 month old loves hummus so he eats a lot of wraps with hummus, and some carrots, banana, pretzels for sides. We also do bread and jelly with some pieces of cheese. He also loves English muffin pizzas (it's all about the pepperoni and cheese).

If you are home every day for lunch, what are some of your kid's favorites? We are off for two days right now and I'm already racking my brain for lunch ideas. :silly: I WAH, so I mainly eat leftovers or throw together whatever we happen to have. My LOs' daycare will be closed for two weeks over the holidays and I need some inspiration so that we aren't eating the same things all the time! (My LOs are 2 and almost 5).
