I'm a SAHM, dried up when LO was 15 months old because I'm pregnant with #2. I think I have a few drops of milk that are produced/day. LO still likes to comfort nurse, so I'll "nurse" her before her nap and bedtime (usually)

I'm a WOHM currently on maternity leave but my baby is 14 weeks and I'll be home with him for at least another 6 weeks. BUT feeding from the boob didn't work out for us so I exclusively pump and feed him pumped milk. Currently, I pump 5 times a day (including one overnight pump when I get up with him) and I still have a crazy good supply and freeze about 15 oz a day (he eats about 26-27 oz). I'm thinking of stopping soon because he shows signs of MSPI or at least a dairy intolerance so I'm on a dairy free diet and have been for almost 8 weeks. Selfish, but I'm dying to start eating normally again and I feel guilty because I know that some dairy makes it into my diet and upsets his tummy. I have about a month of pumped milk frozen so he'll make it to 5 monhts on breastmilk. That's my story!

I work from home and LO is a few days shy of 7 months. We have been going strong from 0-5.5 months (well, shaky since he started teething around 4.5 months). I honestly think I'll make it to a year or more. Then the evil teething and nursing strike hits :( LO is still exclusively breastfed but he seems to make a preference on bottle over breast. The past few weekends were hits and misses and I have to pump in order to give him a bottle, and then since I was upset I couldn't pump (ie. pumping and only 1 oz comes out)! Our weekend schedule is now dependent on whether he nurses or not, and we can't really go anywhere because of that. It really sucks. This has all made me think about quitting.... but I can't quite pull the trigger yet....

WOHM, we're at 3 months and I've been back ay work for a month already. I pump 4x a day, once in the morning (i leave before E gets up and I don't want to wake him) and 3x at work, then we BF at night and all weekend. The goal is to get to 6 months and then re-evaluate how long to keep going, but I'm already starting to lean towards doing a year.

i work from home. Olive is 10.5 months and still loves nursing every 3 hours, so I don't think we're going to stop any time soon!

I still pump too since she is with a nanny during the day, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do at this point as far as pumping and when I get to the 1 year mark. I'm sure I'll still be breastfeeding though...

@rachiecakes: it was a lot of work but I was determined. I wanted to stop pumping so many times along the way, but I kept telling myself that I didn't work that hard to build my supply back up to EBF levels just to give up on myself. I went back to work after 12 weeks. Every day I pumped for the next days feedings. I would pump 3-4 times a day, and nurse morning and evenings/night. On weekends it was EBF, and one pumping session at 10pm.

@rachiecakes: I think she means her LO is old enough for other milk, so there is no need to pump and send BM bottles. Now that my LO is 12 months, I am trying to give up the pump. She will just get cows milk at daycare and then nursing morning and night. Everyone says my supply will still be good but we will see.

LO is 5 months and I'm a WOHM. We are still bf but not exclusively. He gets some formula at daycare. I just can't seem to pump enough for him to last the whole day. I pump 3x at work which gives him enough for two bottles (plus a couple oz left over that I use for his cereal at night) and then he usually gets 2 bottles of formula at daycare. I do have a small freezer stash so I use that on the weekends when momma wants to have a couple glasses of wine =)

I'm a SAHM and my short-term goal was to make it 3 months. We're a couple weeks away from that and I think I may try to go to 4 now. While I do want my body back (I know it's a selfish reason), I actually like breastfeeding better now and I have to admit it's pretty convenient since I only pump and wash bottles for him to eat one bottle a day or more on the weekends if we're out. It helps that LO has become a more efficient nurser, too.

Well, I will be working out of the home shortly, and my workplace is pretty . . . well, it's a small office filled with men old enough to be my father who don't have children and women who hate children, so it's not exactly pumping-friendly. So, I'm nursing baby in the morning and before bedtime, and she gets formula the rest of the day. Kind of a happy medium, for me. She's 7 months now, and we've got a good thing going so I have no plans to quit now.

I'm thinking about not pumping during the day anymore - just 'cause I'm only doing one session and I'm not getting much. So time spent vs. output vs. my job...? But I'll continue BFing at night and early morning for as long as I can.

My short term goal is 6 months right now! I'm so afraid of her losing interest when we start solids. I think if she does I will keep pumping as long as my supply allows. Ideally I would love to go to a year.

I voted still 4-6 months and still going strong. I just upped my pumping sessions at work from 2x a day to 3x a day because LO was having some green poops and I think that was from letting my breasts get too full before I pump. I'm getting a couple of ounces less from 3 sessions but it's the good stuff now.

Both my LO and I love it so we're going the distance. Let's just see if my answer changes once she has teeth!

Alright for those of us that are still breastfeeding I altered the poll a little. More into a how long we have been and if we are anticipating stopping or going.

For the purposes of this poll staying at home (whether you're working at home) means you are with your baby all day and can nurse.

Working out of home means you have to pump daily. So if you exclusively pump consider yourself WOH even if you are SAH.

For those moms who are done BF please go HERE to vote
