But I am also totally ok with cute sweats. Jeans/leggings & a t-shirt usually. No bra, nursing is so much easier for me without. I use her first nap of the day to take a shower, do my makeup (quick 3 minute routine), fix my hair (aka brush and then throw it up into a messy top knot 10 mins later lol). Usually in comfy clothes and a sports bra, but showering made me feel better. I noticed on those days, I was dragging myself around. If we aren't going anywhere it's usually workout clothes because I get spit up/dirty hands/good rubbed all over me so I don't want to mess up my "going out" clothes and also if I'm already in the clothes, I may as well workout when they nap. My baseline is that as long as I wouldnt be embarrassed for someone to see me this way, I'm good. For me that means, a real bra/no pjs, hair fixed (but I only wash every 3 days so it's basically fixed when I wake up!), and about 5 mind of makeup. It sets the tone for the day. I've also always gotten my kids dressed for the day, even when they were small. But most of the time that means into yoga pants or leggings. I also always wash my face and brush my teeth, but often shower at night or at nap time. We go outside just about every day, even if it's just to the playground or the grocery store- though on rainy sick days I have been known to let C stay in her PJs all day. I'm up and down from the floor so much that it just doesn't make sense to bother with jeans or nice things unless we have specific plans for something nicer. (This was pre pregnancy. It was important to me to shower, do my hair, put in contacts, and put on some kind of clothing that I had not slept in. And the one day I did end up having to rush out the door for M's busted lip/stitches I hadn't gotten dressed or done my hair/makeup. I of course threw on real clothes but I felt like a disgusting mess the 4 hours we were at the hospital. Murphy's law I think!
