I became friends with some women in the breastfeeding support group I went to which led to "play dates" where we'd walk around the park with the strollers. I also did Stroller Strides which was awesome. Another neighbour every couple weeks. </p> <p>Another group of girls I realy love hanging out with but they all work so we do girls nights but only monthly or less. </p> <p>I'm starting to go crazy though. This winter has been so cold with warnings every day that we barely leave the house! Tomorrow I'm having a play date with people I don't know/ haven't met but I'm just going for it! That and the Today show...</p> <p>I started doing a stroller fit workout class recently and it's so fun to be out with the kids and talking to other moms. I also do quite a bit of hanging out with friends on the weekends. I also would do playdates with mom friends at least once a week.<br /> Right now, I have no one :( I know I'll make some friends, but right now it's just DH. I also volunteer with two different organizations that have various meetings and get togethers every couple of weeks as well. Further, LO is in music class and we come and play before and after class so I get to chat with the other moms. </p> <p>Have you looked into any moms groups on meetup or other sites? I know lots of mom have luck with those and setting up regular play dates!</p> <p>I think it's defjnitely something that you have to be proactive about. My husband and I also do things with other couples once a month or so. Once or twice a week our Early Intervention providers come over and that might be my adult interaction for the week which is so sad. So I never leave the house and I never see other people. Ugh. The only interaction I get is going to church on Sunday and then we have a get-together with friends and their kids ever sunday afternoon, so I get time then. Otherwise, NOPE. It sucks. I saw one of my neighbors outside today and I talked with her for a bit and it was awesome, haha. I don't get out with my friends much because most of us are in different points in our lives or are super busy. I'm starting to feel a little down because I sometimes go a few weeks without hanging out with another adult besides DH at the end of the night, ands sometimes that doesn't even happen. I call my mom on the phone on a daily basis but I'm often interrupted and can't hear much over my kids.</p> <p>So, how often do you get time with other adults with or without your kids, play dates or a lunch date with just a friend etc. How do you make it a priority? </p>
