I have gold saltwaters and I get a gold pair for lo every year to match. I find them incredibly comfortable. I didn't require getting them wet or really any breaking in. I have medium wide feet and dont require arch support. I followed the directions of getting them wet, walked allllll around in them, and routinely wore them in the splash pad with my kids. As others have said, they're not supportive, but I wore them as a city mama, pushing two kids all over Brooklyn in a double stroller, even while super pregnant, and they worked for me! They are super comfortable, but I followed the directions and put them to soak in water for a while. I can't remember how long they said to do it for. I walk all over in them. I've ordered the tan ones and the black ones. </p> <p>The tan ones I've gotten are UBER COMFY. I wore them everyday for 2 seasons and then I lost them and was so sad about it. But I loved them so much, I amazoned myself new ones the next day and they were just as comfy as the first pair.</p> <p>Since I loved the tan ones so much, I decided to order black ones. They were HORRIBLE. So stiff and uncomfortable and gave me cuts and blisters within 5 mins of putting them on. So I sent them back and ordered another pair of black ones thinking maybe I just got a bad pair from a bad batch. Nope, the 2nd pair of black ones were awful as well. So I returned those too and I just wear my tan ones all day everyday.</p> <p>So the moral of my story is: it's hit or miss. Maybe they aren't consistent depending on the batch? Or the retailer? But when you get a good pair. I like a minimal shoe (vans etc), so it might be an individual preference thing. I found they took very little breaking in and the straps didn't rub like other sandals.
