It looks so festive! I hate how crowded it gets on the weekends and seeing people being rude to each other for free samples. I prefer to go on the weekdays. Sam's Club is only 5 min away so I do go to Sam's too when I am lazy to drive far. Just got Costco last month (ILs gave us the SC membership off their business membership) and we LOVE it. SO much better. DH thinks SC is geared more toward businesses and Costco more for the average consumer. We will be getting a Costco about 10 minutes away- scheduled to open in four months. For a moderate sized city, we are totally spoiled with grocery stores- both high end and middle range that sell lots of other stuff (Earthfare, Trader Joe, a high end chain, Meijer, Target plus Whole Foods is about to open). We walked through one in a different city a few months ago, and it seemed good, but not amazing. I don't know if it is that one trip doesn't do it justice, or my expectations are too high. I am hoping it is half as good as everyone says it is. :happy: I plan on getting a membership and was debating which option. The exec membership is an additional $55, making it $110/year. The exec membership will let you get a 2% rebate (mailed as a gift check you can redeem instore) once a year. I have never been to Costco though and I only went to BJs as a kid. I have been seriously considering checking them out - do they tend to have good enough prices to justify? I normally shop at Shoprite and they have amazing sales most of the time and double coupons up to $1 and are always giving me $5 off coupons so I haven't checked them out yet! Typical spending for me is $60-$90 a week.
