I've tried everything and truly, nothing works. Boots seem like a good idea, but the sand still gets in and then you usually dump it all over your house when you take their shoes off. :silly: The best method I found is wearing rainboots under waterproof playpants with elasticated ankles and stirrups (all the kids wear playpants to the parks here), and that keeps the sand out.
