We have something similar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HHZHDF0/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_t1_k-l0Cb2YYJ9GS

Positives:
-large enough for kids to grow with
-I think the wood looks nicer than plastic

Negatives:
-NOT sturdy at all. We’ve had it three years, and within the first year one of the support boards cracked, and the pieces that fold over have broken. It still looks okay and we can close it, but it’s junky.

If it totally breaks we’ll probably just build our own next time.

I do love having one though. Our kids use it every day, and whenever other kids come over to play they gravitate toward it.

Hi there! My soon to be 4 yo loves digging in the sand at the park so DH and I were thinking we wanted to get a sandbox for him for his birthday next month. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good one? I know that we need to have a cover for it but that's about all I have. The ones that I see out there seem too small given that we our boys are 6.5 and 4. Though we don't want this huge monster sized sandbox!
