A calzone is more similar to a turn over or empanada. In NY we get a side of sauce (tomato) and dip as we eat.</p> <p>And yes, NYers do fold their pizza in half (well at least I do). I fold my slice for the first half and then open it back up for the finish. Perhaps because slices are pretty large and the crust is flexible?
