I explained that I got the positive on my OPK on Monday and she said to test myself in two weeks - if it's negative to come start a new cycle. We didn't do an IUI this cycle since it is our first one. So I'll keep taking the Metformin and just wait it out! Did you do an IUI or just timed intercourse? Either way, if you're certain you ovulated and are waiting, I doubt you'd be monitored at all (I wasn't!)...My understanding is that after ovulation, you just have to wait until you go back in two weeks later for a beta test. I don't know anything about Metformin. I did 2 cycles on clomid...one with an iui and one without. I was monitored durin the TWW but only to time the IUI well. I was on metformin prior to my BFP and was told to absolutely keep taking it during the first trimester. According to my OB, it greatly reduces miscarriage risks. I just called and there is a recording saying that they will not take any non-emergency calls or questions until after they reopen and to stop all cycles immediately.</p> <p>The problem is though - I already finished taking the meds for my cycle and I'm now in the TWW. It's my first cycle so I have no idea what I should be doing. Do I continue to take the Metformin? How much monitoring is done on a Clomid cycle after getting a positive on the OPK? </p> <p>Help!! </p>
