@ladybee: That was the biggest reason I started charting as soon as I went off BCP. I couldn't handle not knowing when to expect it-- before we even started trying.

That's lucky haha!

@pui: I think so, however, my doctor didn't care about my charts. He ran blood work and checked my FSH and LH and saw me once something was off. I was lucky because once he saw me and wanted me on clomid he said "now we have to wait for your period to start" and it showed up that day.

@ladybee: This is mainly why I am upset. I'm pretty sure now that there is probably something wrong with me. I am going to wait for AF and then track carefully one more cycle. Then I plan on going to a doctor. Does this sound like a good plan?

@pui: not to be Debbie downer and I'm not saying, "hey, panic" but I had normal cycles off bc, got pregnant, mc'd and then my cycles got longer and longer. At my longest 49 day cycle my OB agreed to testing and it turned out I had PCOS. In my mind (and my OB's) a cycle over 45 days and that ranges more than a week between cycles is not normal.

@pui: I don't want to go around getting people's hopes up with no reason, so take anything I say with a big dash of salt, but I feel like it's not over until you get your period. Being that late doesn't mean you are pregnant but I don't think it means you are not pregnant-- you may not have even ovulated yet, for whatever reason. I really don't want to be getting hopes up only to have them dashed, but if I was in your situation, I'd still take a test before I had any drinks or medicine, just in case. Are you just coming off BCP? That would explain your cycles going a little nutso.

@Foodnerd81: My period is around 15 days late (well 15 days late if you got by my average cycle length which is 33 days. 7 days late if we go by my last cycle which was 41 days). I took a test this morning and it was negative. I also have no idea when/if I ovulated. Are you saying I could still be pregnant...? I really don't want to get my hopes up. I was pretty crushed this morning.

Since you don't know exactly when you ovulated, I actually think you can't count yourself out until AF shows. My friend, who was not charting or using OPKs, didn't get a positive until almost a week after she expected her period, and says she was regular before. So, you just don't know. I'd keep testing every few days until you get an answer one way or another. Good luck!

Are your periods usually regular?

If so, I would say the test is probably accurate. If you really want, test again in 2 or 3 days, but modern pregnancy tests are usually accurate by the first day of your expected period.

Hello there,

Long time, no post but I need the advice of someone a little bit saner and more in control of their emotions than myself right now!

My period was due yesterday and she still hasn't shown. I'm not sure exactly when I ovulated (stopped OPKing in hopes of taking some pressure off of us... yeah, right!), but I'm pretty sure it was at least 12 days ago.

I tested the day before my period was due and yesterday, the day my period was due and I saw that horrifying, stark white negative both times.

I'm using the internet Wondfo tests I bought online maybe 8 months or so ago.

Here's my question to you, calmer and wiser ladies of HB, do I keep my hopes up? If so, should I try a different test? I thought that the wondfo tests were pretty sensitive. If I was truly pregnant, I should have had a positive by now, right? Help me give up the ghost and move on to the next.

Thank you!
