This time around I am definitely into pre loved items and consignment sales. My husband wants to make the crib himself although that scares me a bit. 😜

I've heard a lot of the Facebook garage sale / or gear swap pages. Those are great I'm sure, if you can find one in your area.

If you know of anything location specific feel free to post..

I wish I would had waited to purchase a lot of gear and purchased it pre-loved instead. We have a great local FB buy sell trade and I've gotten SO much stuff on average 75% off. Toys, swings, strollers, clothes, bouncers. All in great shape.
I also lumped my registry together onto Amazon. People could purchase if they wanted but I got bonkers deals with my completion discount and amazons great prices and return policies.

I think the best way is to really narrow down your list for what you really need and how much you are willing to spend BEFORE shopping. If you start looking at nursery ideas and fall in love with a crib only to realize it's expensive and doesn't go on sale you are more likely to break the bank. I researched and found things like cribs often get scratched so going with something simple like the Graco was an easy budget saver.

We also shopped lots of consignment sales.

I am really early on in my 2nd pregnancy (only 4 weeks), my first is 6yo, and I already started looking into coupons and deals etc. We will be going from two incomes to one so that I can stay home with my little one(s). With my first I considered it a jinx to buy anything in the first trimester, but for some reason this time around, I feel it's a jinx not to.. Anyway, I'm hoping to bring to you a place where we can share coupons and deals, as well as all the miscellaneous things that go through our "hormonal" minds while pregnant and while trying to get pregnant! P.s. I love Shoppingg. :)
