That happened to me as well, but like @Mrs. Yoyo I too was dx'd with PCOS. It is VERY common to have irregular periods though when you're coming off of BC, my friends all had irregularities as well. Like @Mrs. Yoyo said, just watch for cycle length and keep track.

I have something a bit similar happening too. When I went off BC (also after 15 yrs more or less), I got my period two weeks later. Then I spotted around ovulation week. And then I spotted 5 days before getting my "real" period (after 30 days). Very confusing. I'll see how next cycle goes. My MD had warned me that it would take a bit to regulate, so I haven't called her yet or anything.

Me ... But I ended up dx'd with PCOS. Just keep an eye on the cycle length once they do return. Mine were all over the place.

For those of you who haven't read my other posts here's the gist...

I went off the pill in October after being on it for almost 15 years. I got a period right away but the past two months I've only had cramping and a bit of spotting.

I went to the doctor today and she told me that it sounds like the cramping and spotting are my period and I should figure my cycle by this. She said it's very common to have irregular periods going off the pill and it can take up to 6 months to regulate. She also told me that 50% of her patients come back after 3 months saying their periods are irregular (that made me feel better).

She did a blood test for thyroid, hormone levels, etc but said she thinks it should all come back normal.

I'm feeling better that I actually am getting my period and can start tracking my cycle a bit more, but I'm VERY nervous about the blood test! Hopefully everything comes back normal and my cycle regulates or I get pregnant soon!

Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks for listening!
