An otherwise typical kid is fine to sit like that! I had thought it meant there was a problem or low muscle tone but after seeing so many kids do it I figure it can't mean all those kids have an issue. If it were a super close friend and I noticed the kid sitting that way all the time I might try and bring it up somehow but honestly probably not.
