So last night was about the same. In the crib at 7:35, asleep at 8:45. I have continued to use the stroller for naps, as I've heard that well rested babies sleep better at night. But this morning, we nursed and she was really drowsy afterwards, so I put her down in the crib....And she rolled over and went to sleep! It's like a miracle!

Thanks for all the luck ladies! It went way better than I thought. She was confused, and then slightly pissed off that we weren't "strolling", but very minimal tears. We started at 7:50 and I was out of there by 9:05!

Hi Laura Eva-
I am actually a pediatric sleep consultant and I have worked with many children trying to break away from the stroller sleeping habits. It can be tough but it looks like you are motivated to do it! My small piece of advise to make sure you have an early bedtime so that she doesn't go down overtired. When a child goes to bed after their biological sleep waves, their cortisol levels rise and it makes for lot of tears. I hope this helps and wishing you a peaceful nights sleep!

It's happening. Tonight will be our first night (in probably 5+ months?) not walking our 1 yr old daughter to sleep in the stroller. She is a terrible sleeper! As in infant she would only nap in my arms. We used to nurse to sleep (and co-sleep) because it was the only thing that worked....until it stopped working. We tried all kinds of wraps and carriers. We tried CIO, but she cried for 2.5 hours, threw-up, and fell asleep sitting up. It. was. awful! So we resorted to the stroller. We walk her for her morning nap, her afternoon nap and at bed time. It feels like my whole day is spent putting her to sleep! So tonight we will do the bed time routine, and hang out in her crib (which is side-carred to a single bed in the nursery) until she falls asleep. I'm expecting it will be a week of very long evenings. Wish me luck!
