@pinkcupcake: She is 10 months old and has been on bottles since 5 months when I returned to work, it was just the brown milk she didn't like. She drank some of the other frozen with no issue.

I resorted to scalding because she will drink it fine if it is fresh but not if it has been frozen. In order scald we heat it in a pan until small bubbles form around the outside (approx 195F). I wouldn't worry about it if your LO will drink it without issue.

@mrswin: aw I'm sorry to hear :( do you think it's the milk or does she dislike bottles?

I had a high lipase issue but never tried scalding my milk. Do you just heat it super high without boiling it?

No. And I've actually accidentally boiled some a couple times. Maybe a reaction with the pan?

No, but mine looked green when left in fridge?!
Maybe it burned?! Or there was residue in pan from doing it before that mixed with milk?
Just thinking of reasons!

Has this ever happened to anyone?? I have to scald my milk for high lipase otherwise my DD will not drink it. On Saturday I scalded the milk I had left over from the week. Once it had cooled I noticed that it had turned brown, similar in colour to a latte

Still smells normal and my SO is going to try and use some for a feeding today.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen?
