I didn't have a bad reaction to the test but I did have GD so from my study of 1, it's not an indicator. Don't worry about it until you have to (which is hopefully never!).

@swedishfish: Thanks for the advice! My husband is hypoglycemic and he said that it sounded a lot like how he feels when he has episodes. Hopefully that is all it is!

You'll have to see what your doctor's office says your blood sugar level was but I think it's more likely a sign of hypoglycemia (I am definitely not a doctor though - just the daughter of a type II diabetic). I would forget about it until Monday and enjoy the rest of the weekend :)

Aw, something similar happened to me! I was not smart and went back to work, but had to leave shortly after. I was very dizzy and nauseous from it, but if it's any consolation, I passed!

@swedishfish: Is that a sign of GD? I'm sorry. I really don't know much about the condition. I didn't even know it existed until after I became pregnant.

Your blood sugar may have dropped too low. I've had to take the three hour test twice during this pregnancy and this happened to me both times. I almost fainted. My blood sugar was 33 and 50 respectively both times. Glad you're feeling better now! It took me about a day each time to feel completely better.

ETA - hopefully you won't have to take the three hour test!

Yesterday, I had my one hour blood glucose screening and had a horrible reaction. After about 40 minutes I started feeling dizzy and seeing spots. After my blood was drawn, I legitimately felt like I was drunk. I explained how I was feeling but they kind of brushed me off. I was stupid and drove anyway and went straight to chic-fil-a to get some food. The poor girl probably thought I was on drugs because I could barely get my order out. After I ate, I called my mom and she stayed on the phone with me until I got home (DH is out of town). I then slept for 2 hours and, happily, felt normal again when I woke up.

No one else I've talked to has had this reaction so now I'm worried. Is this a sign of GD? I'm so paranoid now.
