We went into the office yesterday so everyone can meet LO and I had a quick chat with him.<br /> He presented it like work is a little slow right now. So they thought they would offer me the option of part time to spend more time with LO. I told him that my intention has always been to come back full time. Didn't know if maybe they thought I had other plans, but I didn't. He said it's not an issue at all they will find work for me. I said I really appreciate the offer and thought but quite honestly as nice as it would be to spend more time with LO we could not financially swing it.</p> <p>So I'm back to work Tuesday :( full time. And if I wanted the option of going part time for the summer.</p> <p>Not gonna lie, that scares me.</p> <p>My initial thought was maybe things are slow since sometimes it is slower during the summer. So I texted a co-worker who's also a really good friend. He said he is up to his neck in work and they could really use me back.<br /> Now I'm even more scared.</p> <p>He said there are things going on at work unrelated to me. If someone should be on the chopping block it shouldn't be me. </p> <p>Ugh. Seeing as how I'm already on leave I see I'm the easiest to "cut". Part time would be nice to spend more time with M. But we can't really afford the pay cut. And what about my benefits??</p> <p>My husband thinks maybe they are being nice and offering me the option to spend more time with M. And don't get me wrong my employer is fantastic. But if they are that busy why would they want me home in lieu of at work producing??</p> <p>He thinks I should just call and talk to them. My coworker thinks I should go in person.</p> <p>Thoughts???!!! </p>
