We were scheduled to check into the hospital at 9:30pm, so I had the ENTIRE day to sit and wait around! Hubs had gotten me a new camera for Christmas (D was a January baby), so I spent the day playing with that, eating, and double-triple-quadruple-checking our hospital bags. I don't know why they schedule them for the nighttime! It's mean! Ha ha. I was so excited I couldn't sleep, and when my induced labor lasted over 36 hours, I was really suffering. I would take the time to get things organized and maybe head to the movies or something to pass the time. I was in for an emerg c-section because baby was breech and my water broke 3 days before the scheduled c-section. We got to l and d at 3 pm and we didn't get into surgery until midnight. So it was many, many hours of tv. And boy did it go by slowly! Plus I was freaking out a bit over the idea of surgery being so soon. My OB ordered me to l&amp;d, where I learned they were so booked up they couldn't schedule my non-emergency section until after 5pm.
