Our kids have to wear solid colors shirts in blue white, red or yellow. They also have to wear solid bottoms in those same colors and also khaki and jeans. Close toed shoes and no spaghetti straps. Mine are in elementary.

None that I am aware of except they need to wear sneakers on gym class days.

Ours is pretty basic. No character clothes (undies are ok), and they need to have two sets of shoes, one for indoors and one appropriate for running around outside.

I don't know if they officially have a shorts under skirts rule because LO often goes in skirts/dresses and it's fine, but every so often she comes home wearing shorts underneath, and sometimes now in the mornings she requests it. I think maybe they do it when they are running around a lot. No one has ever said anything to me though.

Yup, exactly what you said. Shorts under skirts/dresses, no open toe shoes, no fancy/dressy clothes.

Our last school (child care center) was very lax and the preschool kids could pretty much wear whatever! DD got used to wearing fancier dresses, sandals, long princess (night) gowns, jewelry, etc. She's still a little sad she is not allowed to so I let her dress up more on evenings and weekends.

We had closed toe shoes and dress to get messy/be outdoors guidance too.

This year, it's uniform is suggested, so we follow using the suggested colors.

Does your LO's school have a dress code?

LO's teachers came over last night for an in home visit before she started school today. They gave us a ton of info and even went over what they prefer them to wear. They said shorts under skirts/dresses, only closed toe shoes and dress to get messy. The shorts under the skirts thing surprised me, but I do that anyway. Everything else seemed pretty standard.
