We love our Yum Box! I want to get him an insulated thermos for hot items but he doesn't seem to care if his food isn't hot.

We love our Yum Box- both full size 6 compartment and 3 compartment snack size. It's dishwasher safe. Since we are a low gluten household it's great for us since we don't send things like sandwiches- just lots of single ingredients like shredded cheese, fruit, avacado, sliced lunchmeat, cottage cheese etc.

I like to send a separate container for snack, so I use a Sistema snap box for that. For lunch, I like to pack a small bottle of water with lunch, as well as a pouch of hand wipes, so I use a simple zip around insulated lunch box, a Rubbermaid water bottle I picked up at the grocery store and all kinds of smaller boxes to organize snacks.

We sometimes use an integrated Bento box, but it's REALLY heavy, so I only use it when I am sending chicken nuggets.

eta: I wanted to mention that my son is really good about returning stuff, nothing has gone missing....YET!

What items do you have/love for your LO's school/daycare lunches? I'm going to slowly start looking for deals on items now and stash away for this coming school year, since LO will be starting Kindergarten. I want things that will last all year and possibly into the following few years.
