@babynumber1: I'm a sahm now, so no office chair (though that was an issue last time). We have recliners in the living room and I do have to be careful how I sit in them, but it seems worse when I walk a lot. I've been wearing only sneakers but it's still bad- I feel really bad for the toddler who is stuck inside.

I got a new office chair and that helped tremendously. Is there anything that triggers it for you?

@Alivoo01: somehow i am just seeing this. What type of maternity belt? The chiropractor recommended I talk to my midwife about one. It's way better now but still I can't walk much and in limping- none if which is really great with a two year old.

@ladybee: I've been doing this stretch and Childs pose a lot- it's helps some but still not great.

The prenatal massage helped me. Looking back, I wish I would've gone to the chiropractor as well.

I saw a chiropractor twice a week which gave me temporary relief, but if I'm on my feet a lot, I wore a maternity belt and that helped out a lot too!

I go to prenatal yoga and that really helps me. My instructor has us do some specific stretches just to help with sciatic pain. I'll look around and see if I can find photos or a YouTube of the stretches we do.

@Foodnerd81: I think my main issue is tight hamstrings and poor core muscles. Anything I can do to stretch my legs typically helps. Then the exercise I posted helps with the butt pain!

@ladybee: thanks- I'll try that one as well! I never had this before pregnancy so I just don't even really know what helps.

@Foodnerd81: I had this problem before pregnancy and always did this one. I did it last time I was pregnant and got relief until things got really bed in my last 2 weeks. Then I got a massage that helped.

What worked to relieve sciatic nerve pain in pregnancy for you? Any specific you tube videos or stretches or exercises?

I saw a chiropractor recently for my headaches, and she did some adjustments for my hips as the sciatic pain was just starting, but it's much worse now (not because of the chiropractor, because I'm further in the pregnancy). My core muscles were weak to begin with and clearly pregnancy didn't help that, but it's bad now. Tylenol did take the edge off enough that I could do a few stretches.

(Searching HB for answers brought up my own question about this from last pregnancy. Awesome).
