Thanks, ladies! I think whatever we get we will need to take to the park since our driveway is on an incline and it worries me to think about her wheeling out into the main road. I'm thinking the scooter would be easier to transport, so that is winning out at the moment.

We have both and the scooter is used MUCH more. We have the regular micro scooter for DS, but I would get the maxi micro if I were buying one today because you can adjust the handlebar height and use it for years!

We got LO a balance bike for her 2nd birthday. She is now nearly 2 1/2 and she likes the bike but still walks it around more than actually picks up her feet. I think it will be worth it in the long run for her. She was gung-ho for a bike for some reason so that helped sway us to the bike.

I think it depends on your surroundings. Is there a lot of open space? I've watched toddlers fly on the balance bike and it scared the living daylights out of me! :silly: But if we had more concrete/open spaces, I wouldn't be as concerned. We have tons of grass, so we opted for a trike instead.

We bought LO a balance bike and he barely touches it compared to his scooter. We don't know if it's the particular bike, we got a strider, but next time we would probably get the Kazam because we think he would prefer where he can put his feet on it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005CVZ3I6?pc_redir=1400508809&robot_redir=1

We got LO a scooter. We were torn between that, a trike, and a balance bike and ultimately I chose what's most popular in our area. It's the mini scooter from Micro Kickboard or Micro Mini Scooter, any of those in Google of Amazon should work. We got the 3n1 version but skipped the seat and are using the handle for 2-year-olds.

Help! My LO's 2nd birthday is next Monday and I have yet to order her a gift (thank God for Amazon Prime). I am debating between a scooter and a balance bike, but I'm just not sure what would be best for her at this stage. Physically, she is very coordinated and quite happy to try new things. She's also pretty tall for her age.

Which does your child prefer? And if there's a brand you love, let me know that, too!
