We bought DS a micro maxi (with adjustable handle height) about 3 years ago (he’s 7 now) and it’s still in great condition with regular use. After reading lots of reviews it was clear that scooters fall into the “buy cheap, buy twice category.” I wasn’t comfortable shelling out for a micro, and the Globber seemed like the next best thing per reviews. He's now 5 and is still running strong. I know that everyone recommends the micro or micro mini but I couldn't justify the cost. I might have paid a little more to get an adjustable height one. It's sturdy and has a wide footboard so our two year old can stand with both feet on it and get pushed around. My son uses his every day to get around the neighborhood. They are the standard in kids scooters in NYC.</p> <p>Because we use it all the time I got a nutcase helmet and love it! We got the maxi for my then 5yo’s bday and It should last a long time. We got the micro mini for my 2yo’s bday and he caught on right away. I wanted to save $ but maybe should have just gotten him the maxi too as it adjusts as they grow and might last longer before it gets small.
