@oahujeni: I would definitely try a size 4. My daughter has been in size 5's since she was about 25lbs. I think it really helped with absorbancy.

PS - Seriously the best thing ever was when we stopped changing her diaper at night. We would just get up, feed her, and put her back down. It was amazing! Hope this works for you too!

@T.H.O.U.: perfect! He's in size 3 now (20lbs, probably close to 21lbs by now), so I might try size 4.

@oahujeni: These are the ones we use. They start at size 3:

Pampers® Extra Protection Diapers
Helps eliminate nighttime leaks

Added security whenever your baby needs it. Extra absorbent zones in core help absorb even the heaviest wettings, and are great for long car rides and weekend outings.

Pampers® Extra Protection Diapers

    Size 3: 7 - 13 kg / 16 - 28 lbs
Size 4: 10 - 17 kg / 22 - 37 lbs
Size 5: 12 + kg / 27 + lbs
Size 6: 16 + kg / 35 + lbs

@T.H.O.U.: Thanks! I'm going to pick up some today. It may even help with my other problem --- he still gets up 3x/night so maybe it's not helping that he's uncomfortable in his diaper.

@oahujeni: I'm not sure what size they start at but yes these is an overnight 12 hour one. We use this purple pampers at night and the regular blue baby dry during the day. Also maybe go up a size at night?

@T.H.O.U.: I use pampers baby dry... Are there other diapers that absorb more? Sorry I feel dumb asking that lol! I change him 2-3 times a night and would love to be able to cut that back.

Can you try a nighttime more absorber diaper so you don't have to change him? I think by that point we stopped changing her.

@shopaholic: I don't think thats it because he starts screaming the second I lay him on the changing pad and his jammies are still on. He pees through his diapers often so I change him in the motn or else I'll be changing the sheets. That then makes it harder to put him back to bed because he is wide awake by the time I'm done

Do you think it's maybe because he doesn't like the cool air/difference in temperature? I notice this sometimes when she's still sleepy. I think taking the diaper off, just feels cold and no longer that warm sleepy feeling. Can you put off changing the diaper in the MOTN?

This has been going on since DS was about 2.5 months and I was hoping he would outgrow it. He is now 5 months.

When he wakes up in the middle of the night he screams at the top of his lungs when getting a diaper change. I usually get to him when he's already been crying for a few mins, but hold and calm him down before I lay him on the changing table. Then all hell breaks loose and i rush to get him changed as he screams.

Funny thing though, when he gets up around 6am and I change him, he's all smiles and giggles even if he woke up fussy/crying.

How do I keep him from going nuts during nighttime dipe changes?
