I have had both Claritin and Zyrtec okayed (I've switched between both). My albuterol/xopenex was approved and with DS, they switched my every day asthma med to one safer for pregnancy. I am no longer on a daily med for that though.

omgoodness! I've been drinking sprite at least 3 times a week :(

@ dc yoga bee - which practice do you go to? I'm in the DC area and go to Capital Women's Care. They tell me that basically everything is ok. I actually wish they would spend more time with me to discuss the risks/benefits of doing some things and warn me about certain things.

@wrkbrk: I'm sure you're fine, my practice has been militant about every-thing. I had a coke, and they scolded me of all the dangers to my baby and talked down to me like a child.

@wrkbrk: I didn't ask. When I went to the ER on Monday, they said, "you haven't been taking any of your inhalers during the pregnancy have you?" I said no. I have an apt this Friday, and I will make a note to ask her then!

Claritin saved me this fall. I was so sneezy and snotty and the normal supliments I take didn't touch it. When I was pregnant I made SO much snot... It was horrible.

I have indoor and outdoor allergies as well as asthma. I take several prescriptions, including inhalers. My doc said it's a risk vs. benefit issue - if you're not well enough to support a healthy pregnancy without it, it's best to continue the meds.

I started using essential oils while pregnant. The combo or peppermint, lavender and lemon is the dream team for allergies. Works amazing for my husband too.

I have severe year round allergies. I've tried years of shots with no success. Claritin is what my doctor okayed during pregnancy. 10mg, no D, just plain old Claritin. I can't use any inhalers or shots during pregnancy.

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and have been trying to stay med-free throughout the pregnancy, but I normally have awful seasonal allergies. I want to try staying med-free, but I don't know if it'll be possible.

What did you take for your seasonal allergies while you were pregnant and how is your baby?
