Now Flonase says on the box it can mess with a child's growth so we stopped that. It didn't help him at all, except it knocked him out. He was still coughing and snotting around in his sleep.</p> <p>I was surprised, because one of those 24 hour adult tabs dries up my worst situations. Last year (or two years ago?) we started Zyrtec and allergra depending honestly on which I can get cheaper ... she likes the melt away kind so no generic! She won't do nose spray but we also do singulair which I get Rx from the allergist. Last year was so awful that we started shots in July and I think those are helping! He was on Zyrtec last year and we didn't notice any problems but he was also newly 2 and temper tantrums were the norm. We just started Zyrtec about 2 weeks ago and have noticed a significant increase in tantrums that have otherwise been nonexistent for months. Not sure if it is Zyrtec, the fact that he feels crummy from the allergies or something entirely different. They both are effective at different times for our kids. We tried Claritin and he said it didn't really help. I'm a little leery about giving him Zyrtec because I've read that it can cause behavior issues, and we're already having some issues so I don't want to make that worse. I just found out a farm market up the street sells raw local honey, so I may try to pick up some of that this weekend. Any other suggestions? Has anyone tried the Hyland's homeopathic stuff? </p>
