@kiddosc: that's ADORABLE. And ingenious.

@Foodnerd81: @oliviaoblivia: thanks. We just got some bogs and they are SO much easier to kick on/off!

I keep a towel on the back of the seats. Cut holes for the head rest.
My big girl takes her boots off when she gets in the car and then climbs in. We have Bogs for easy on/off.

We have something like this
Brica Deluxe Kick Mats, 2 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7M7CLA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_KpTByb7ZSPQFZ

It's the same premise as what @kiddosc: posted only less cute but store bought. We actually have one in front of the FF seat (back of drivers seat) and one in front of the baby's RF seat (so on ththe seat back where she kicks). For that one we installed the seat properly then pulled the seat protector down behind it, so I can't imagine it changes the safety.

That won't help the actual carseat cover but I just don't care that much about that- there are already so many crumbs in it anyway.

I think the warranty is only voided if it's something that goes under the seat, or interferes with the straps. I made a seat cover that was just a towel covered in a fun fabric with holes to put the headrest through. Easy to pull off and wash, kept the seats clean. It doesn't solve the problem of having to wash the carseat cover, but it kept the back seat clean. Now that he's forward facing I have it hanging on the back of the front seat as a protector.

DS1 will be 3 in March (waaaaah). He's still RF in a Britax Advocate Clicktight and I am in no rush to turn him around. BUT...we live in MT, land of loooong winters and plenty of snow. Last winter I could carry DS1 in/out of the store, etc, keeping his feet clean. This year we also have DS2, so I'm carrying the bucket seat and DS1 is walking...getting snow/mud all over his shoes which then transfers into the car seat and the back of the car's seat. I would feel comfortable FF him now, but it seems silly to do it just but to keep my car clean, and he actually prefers rear facing so why not?! Any recommendations?!

I've thought about taking his shoes off, but it sounds like a pain...not to mention it's been -25F here this week so I'd like to keep our time exposed to the air minimal haha. I've also looked at purchasing something to drape over the seat, but I read somewhere that it would void the Britax warranty (is that even true? And if it is, is that something I even care about? Ha) plus it doesn't solve the problem of getting the actual car seat disgusting and wet.
