Thanks for all the input, ladies!

My only concern was the one that @Anagram: mentioned, but I'm glad to see that it wasn't the case (at least for her). I figured it'll be a nice back-up or home-pump, because I can't imagine I'd need to be up and walking about while pumping at work. ;-)

I'd get the same kind so you don't have to buy different sets of parts.

For my second pump I got the Hygeia pump from my insurance company. I love the pump and get more milk from it than my PIS. It is compatible with Medela parts so no need to buy extra's. The only issue I have found is that I lost my power supply and since it is not as redily available as Medela it was really hard to find a replacement. I like that is is made to be used by mulitple users (so if I needed to lend it out it would be ok and invalidate the warranty), it is guaranteed for 3 years (compared with 1 year for the Medela), and it is 100% recycleable. Plus it comes with a free year of La Leche Membership.

I have the Freestyle and love it. I also have a PISA and stopped using it once I got the Freestyle. I prefer to take my Freestyle back and forth to work rather than use the PISA at all, that's how much I prefer the Freestyle.

The pump action of the PISA and the Freestyle are really different actually--the Freestyle vibrates a bit for some reason and all boobs are different but I found mine respond better to the Freestyle and I got more milk with it. Plus it's just so convenient.

For some reason, the Freestyle has a bad rep with LCs. Mine told me flat out it would ruin my supply. She was 100% wrong and now I get mad that she probably tells everyone that. Even the Amazon reviews scared me because I lot of people mention it making their supply worse, but if you read any Pumping threads/boards you will see supply is a problem across the board with any pump just because it's hard with work stress, etc. to pump what you need for your LO.

Anyway. Love my Freestyle. I'm an exclusive pumper and I would have given up without it, because I can pump 30 minutes in the morning while blowdrying my hair, packing my lunch, etc.

I have the freestyle and love it! I think the suction is great and it's so light and portable. I'd highly recommend it.

@keiki_mama: Thanks for the info. Glad to hear it! I was really planning on the freestyle until the LC from the other night said even PISAs aren't that great for pumping at work or exclusive pumping. I think the Freestyle would offer a lot of flexibility for around the house or when we're traveling.

I have a Freestyle and I loved it so much! I love how light it is--I can throw it in my bag and go. Even though it's a small little thing it's powerful. I was able to get more milk out with the Freestyle than Lactina.

I already have a new PISA from my insurance last year. Now, thanks to the switch at the beginning of the year, I'll get my handheld manual Medela single pump after delivery, but I can also buy another double electric before LO's born! Woot! I have to pay full price, but it all goes toward my total OOP, which we'll hit with a delivery anyway, so I may as well get another so I have one for work and one for home.

I'm thinking of a Medela Freestyle for home (PISA for mat leave, then I'll bring it to work, as I hear it has better production). But should I maybe get another PISA and just have one for work and same at home? Any other wonderful pumps I should see if my insurance would count toward my OOP? It'd be for lighter use than work, but I'd still want something that keeps my supply up and is good for traveling on weekends, etc. Thanks!
