I had ultrasounds both times and everything was fine. I'm now 26 weeks and haven't had any more spotting at this point. But for me both times I had one episode of spotting and that was it. And actually, it was nice to blame something for the spotting. It's so annoying when they're like, "Oh well, the baby's fine so we don't know where this random spotting is coming from." It doesn't make you feel very....reassured. I hope they find a cause!!! Do you know if they looked for an SCH on your u/s? Midwives sent me for an ultrasound last week and the baby was fine -- good heart beat and kicking away. Cervix was fine. The doc said an edge of my placenta looked a tad low, but that it wasn't anything to worry about at this stage and that it could move (?). Overall, they chalked up the spotting to "just one of those unexplained things". But I'm still spotting...not every day, but every other day or so. Midwives said yesterday they might send me back for another U/S tomorrow (Monday). It's all such a worry. I'm afraid to move. On the positive side, I am feeling the baby move. So that helps.</p> <p>Anyone else experience second trimester spotting and have an explanation for it or not? </p>
