I have a small box from my sister but unfortunately most of her maternity clothes disappeared after her first Pregnancy and she borrowed a lot from friends that had to be given back after second pregnancy, plus she had a job that required a uniform where I work in a business casual office. I don't think I'd take a used bathing suit other than from my sister or a really good friend. Word got to me a few weeks ago that she had a bunch of maternity clothes she was selling and I bought $500 of stuff (most with tags still on from Neiman's and Pea in the Pod) for $75. SCORE! Everything but one item was brand new--I bought a used cashmere maternity sweater from her but it's still in great shape. I bought the rest at thrift stores, including my absolute favorite pair of maternity jeans, two pairs of capris, two maternity shirts, and several "regular" shirts up a size/loose that got me through the first 18 weeks or so before my bump really stuck out.<br /> Maternity clothes can be really expensive. I spent over $70 on four new items - and those were all on sale! The most expensive second-hand item was $4.99. Maternity or not. Other things like shirts and pants I would wear if I knew the history of them.
