They are my favourite first shoes. I try to get them on sale as they are pricey but the style is great and they have a good flexible shoe. My daughter never kicks them off, and they are flexible without being too slippery because of the two rubber circles on the bottom. For me, that's what sets them apart from PediPeds. She absolutely hated the elastic on the Robeez, and would always kick them off, probably because her feet are quite narrow. My daughter is still figuring out the walking thing, so she's mostly barefoot when she's indoors, but I love these shoes for keeping her feet warm when we're out and about and at the park and such. </p> <p>I'll be willing to compromise on the soft structure and quality (and therefore cost) of the shoe once she gets the hang of walking, but it's super important to me to have a great shoe as she develops that skill.
