This happened to meet right around 28 weeks. I think it was related to my pregnancy anemia. Once I increased my iron it went away.

@littlebittyhouse: Boo - they're definitely no fun, but I'm glad you think that's all it is! It's definitely not a retinal thing if Tylenol makes it go away. :)

@littlebittyhouse: I'm 33 weeks and have had three auras this pregnancy. I had more my previous pregnancy. My coworkers actually figured out I was pregnant at 8 weeks when I shouted something like "Ugh, I can't see. I forgot about this BS." In reality I'm relieved every time they go away without turning into "real" migraines like the auras did for me in puberty. My doctors are not concerned at all.

Sounds like an aural migraine! Happens to me both pregnant and not.

@ValentineMommy: aural/visual migraines sounds exactly like it! when I take tylenol the floaters go away and I have a dull ache for like 10-15 min but then it is gone. So strange.

I had this, too. My vision was also blurrier in general, and neither led to anything serious. Actually, neither led to anything at all. :)

I sometimes get floaters in my vision when I move or stand up quickly. It always goes away after a few seconds, so I haven't been worried. I hope yours is nothing major.

As someone who has had both retinas detached and 4 retinal surgeries, I'd personally get it checked out. But don't let that completely freak you out, you would be seeing massive amounts of floaters if they were detaching.

That being said, I started getting aural/visual migraines in my last pregnancy, which sounds like what you're describing (and my head didn't hurt either).

i would try calling an ophthalmologist as well. it sounds like it could be a typical pregnancy symptom, but you also want to rule out retinal issues.

I had this from time to time. If you have other symptoms it can be an indication of pre-e, but on its own it wasn't a concern. Something about how fluid retention can put pressure behind your eyes and cause blurry vision or floaters.

I had some blurry vision with my last pregnancy. I went in for a round of BP checks with the nurse practitioner. Everything was fine, but it does definitely happen near the end of pregnancy.

So, I am 30w pregnant and this is the second time this has happened to me in two weeks - all of a sudden my vision gets weird and I start seeing bright spots. BP is fine (120/60), I am hydrated. I called my OB last time and they didn't seem alarmed at all, said to take tylenol if I get a headache.

Anyone else experience this? I am super freaked out.
