@Cherrybee: just wanted to pop in to let you know cramps are so normal! I've had a lot with this pregnancy and I'm 20 weeks now. With my mc at 8 weeks I actually didn't have any!! Try not to worry, I know how hard it is, especially with a prior loss.

@Cherrybee: I agree with @Trailmix, stop testing! At some point the tests can't handle the high HSG count.

@Trailmix: You're not wrong there - the amount I've spent on tests I could pay off our mortgage. Okay, that's an exaggeration! DH banned me from testing 2 days ago (when I hit 8HPTs!!) but then, this morning, because of the cramps, I ran out and got more. I've got a problem!!!!!

@Cherrybee Totally understandable to be so nervous, especially given what happened two cycles ago. My RE said that unless you're having bleeding in conjunction with heavy, contraction-like cramps, there's no reason to worry. Obviously, things happen without these symptoms but it has definitely helped with my own piece of mind to remember this whenever I'm feeling nervous. Also, I think you should stop testing!

@Smurfette: Thank you! I'm just being a drama queen and I know it! I just did another test (I need to stop now!!) and it was super dark! When I had my c/p, it was negative 2 days before the bleeding started. I'm being a dingbat!!!

@Cherrybee: Cramps are totally 100% normal. It is your uterus stretching. It was one of the first things my doctor told me. I guess it is a question they get asked a lot. I know it is hard to do not worry but try. Try and take it day by day, today you are pregnant, and that is something to be so thankful for!!

I'm resurrecting this thread because it's exactly how I'm feeling and I'm tired of scrolling through pages of posts in order to find it again and read all the comments.

I'm having major AF cramps - and I'm terrified I'm m/cing again. I'm heavy and tingly from the waist right down into my, you know, hoo-haa and I've got the weird aching you get when your cervix is opening for AF or for ovulation. The whole area is burning, almost - I'm just aware of it.

This is normal, right? I'm sure this is normal. All these comments say it's normal in a round about kind of way.....

Thank goodness for Nervouspreggo. She might be out but her nervous legacy lives on in me!! :-)

I'm 35 weeks and I still worry at some point of every day. If you are like me (and it sounds like you are) and you're prone to anxiety that's just part of the game of being pregnant. Honestly for the majority of my first trimester I felt like I do when I PMS. Kind of crampy, really bloated, sore boobs. I felt sure I was going to start bleeding any moment. And I even did have some episodes of spotting. But here we are almost at the end of the road and baby is doing great in there. So try not to get yourself too worked up because it really isn't good for you. My doc almost forced me onto Zoloft at the beginning because I was just a hot mess. Luckily I was able to get through it without medicine but just know that's an option. My doc felt very strongly that the risks associated with Zoloft were less of an issue than the risks of me being constantly stressed.

@nervouspreggo: The 1st tri is 10x worse the TWW. I was checking the TP every time I went to bathroom. I am 19 weeks now and I still get nervous before every appointment that they won't find a heartbeat. The worrying part of motherhood starts from day 1 for sure!

@nervouspreggo: I hear you! 9 months is a LONG time to wait for a BFP, and then you're just freaking out about what could go wrong!!! I noticed during my first couple weeks pregnant, every time I would use the bathroom, I was worried about seeing blood. And every time I felt something different, I would freak out about what it meant. After my 7w4d ultrasound and I saw the heartbeat, I finally started to calm down. But it wasn't until our 12 week ultrasound that I REALLY started to feel like maybe everything was going to work out. I'm now 21 weeks and I'm STILL nervous, but it's definitely not nearly as bad as it was those first couple weeks!

Thanks so so much, you guys, I really appreciate your words!

@Jojogirl and @Adira I am shocked by how crazy I feel right now. It took 9 months to get the BFP and the whole time, I just always thought once I saw the positive test, I'd be nothing but over-the-moon happy but instead, I'm a total mess...this is so much harder than the TWW...

@Chelsearose That is a good idea, I was sort of holding off on doing that bc (again-anxious) I didn't want to join that month board and then have to leave for a sad reason, ya know? But it probably would be helpful...

@Greenthumb We're only 4 days apart (I'm 4 weeks and 5 days)...Will see you on the June 2013 board soon, I hope!

@Smurfette, @Mrslovejoy, @hellobedboston and @mrsblue Seriously, thank you so much, even though in my head, I know all this stuff, hearing it from other people makes it so much more real.

All of pregnancy is a roller coaster of anxiety if you're an anxious person. @nervouspreggo: I'd recommend joining your birth month thread because I'm sure there are others in the same stage of pregnancy who are feeling the same things physically and emotionally. I found this very helpful!

Sounds exactly like my first few weeks of pregnancy! I was framed out by all the cramps, but if they stopped for a day, that terrified me! I felt quite a bit better after the first u/s when we saw the heartbeats. Hang in there! The first trimester is a roller coaster!

@nervouspreggo: Totally the worst. My first week after my BFP was 10000 times worse than the TWW, but it will get easier, I promise. Are you having bloodwork done? Also to answer your question, I was cramping basically starting 2DPO until about 6 weeks and then it eased up a bit. It always felt like period cramping. How far along are you?

@nervouspreggo: Agreed! This is DEFINITELY worse than the TWW! Finding out your pregnant just opens up a whole new can of worms where you're worried about EVERYTHING going wrong!! That's totally normal too! And the further along into the pregnancy you get, the easier it becomes to manage. You'll probably feel better after your ultrasound next week. Good luck to you!

Agreed! I had pains and cramping very early on in the 1st trimester (that I don't normally get with AF, so it was very NEW to me), and it was totally normal. Like others have said, it's your uterus expanding. As long as you don't experience any bleeding and the pain isn't super INTENSE, you should be good!

@nervouspreggo: I had AF-like cramping for about a week around when I got my BFP (We're 10w now). I asked my midwife about it and she said its completely normal as the uterus is expanding/stretching. Unless its accompanied by a lot of bleeding, she said not to worry about it!

Well, I am clearly living up to my username, haha, but I just was hoping to get some more reassurance that what I am feeling is common or normal...
I've been having some mild pains/bloating in my uterus area since last night, plus on and off localized cramps that have been ongoing for about a week now. I couldn't sleep last night bc I was so worried and I really just need to hear if other people experienced similar aches/pains and all was fine with the pregnancy??
Thanks so much in advance, HB is so helpful for this kind of stuff!
