Haha DH is all about donating our infant tub once DS grows out of it because it's such a huge bulky thing that we have no room for! I want to keep it for LO #2, but I think I'll pick my battles on this one since it gives him so much grief to have it around, lol!

@SugarplumsMom: I don't like storing things and my husband gives me crap about storing Holiday decorations so I sell it.
I sold all of first sons baby things except for his Baby Einstein dvd set, I truly missed 3 items. His crib, a push toy no longer made, and a LeapFrog shopping cart also no longer made. There's 9 years between him and his sister, those items would've lasted!
With Maddy I sold everything except her bouncer and walker, and only because they didn't sell before finding out about #3 ;)

It's expensive to replace, yes, but sometimes you'll find new items you like better. It's all about space!

@SugarplumsMom: I hear you, I got a jumperoo from ebay, I want to say the whole thing cost $160 and the majority of the cost was for shipping!

We sold it for almost what we paid when we were done with it, but I felt okay doing that because we were relocating and I knew I could pick it up for $50 at Walmart if needed, YKWIM?

@wheres_c: That's the reason why I feel hesitant to sell! I spent way too much on her jumperoo and even though her baby gym was a gift, it's crazy expensive here. But it would be so nice to get rid of it and free up space!

@looch: No, well only if AmazonUK still ships here for free, but that would still mean I'm paying too much for it. I won't be able to find it used even if I wanted to.

I limited myself to one big box (the box that our convertible car seat came in). Whatever I could fit in there I kept.

I place a higher premium on space/lack of clutter over cost savings, so I probably wouldn't keep much.

For items that have a short life span (exersaucer, bumbo), I would consider buying used and reselling to offset the expense.

I gave ours away to friends with the 'pay it forward' attitude that if we're blessed with a second they might find their way back.

Can you easily replace it if you need to? That's my internal rule for tossing/keeping.

My rule of thumb was price. Anything that we could buy back cheaply at a consignment sale I sold: bouncer, swing, exersaucer.
Anything that is in pristine condition or would be expensive to replace I kept. Stroller, baby Einstein jumperoo, etc.

We are happy with one, and we may have problems TTC.....but we are still leaning towards 2.
I say if you have the storage space, keep the good stuff...sell the rest.

We're keeping the stuff we bought new, stroller, swing, bouncer, etc. We got rid of the activity gym and the jumperoo, since we bought them used in the first place.

I've been doing some long awaited cleaning and I'm kind of on a roll selling baby items DD never used/doesn't need. It's been going so well, I'm thinking about selling her toys I intended to keep in case we changed our minds in a year or 2. But do I really want to store a jumperoo and baby gym and various other items for the next few years "just in case"?

To the happy with one: Did you keep or donate/sell/give away? If you got rid of it, and ended up having another, did you regret your decision?
