Even if you gave Motrin and sent LO, it would wear off in 4ish hours. In the past I'd check the temp in the morning and if it was below 99 I'd send DS. We have the 24 hour rule at daycare. So even if she's borderline ok in the morning, if the fever creeps up in the middle of the day and you have to come get her, that's 2 days out sick for sure! Anything above 101 is considered a fever and you have to be fever free for 24 hours to go back. I think this is a pretty standard rule of thumb for daycare?</p> <p>ETA: I've had to take a day or two off since August for the kids being sick and I just started a new job in July. If the fever was borderline (100 ish) I'd wait till morning to decide but 102 is pretty high. Gave Motrin. Acting fine but not really eating much. Went to church. Felt warm around 130. Gave more Motrin but has also had two really yucky diapers. </p> <p>Wait it out and send to school? Keep home?</p> <p>Obvs if it gets worse tonight, I'll keep for sure. At this point I'm just planning... </p>
