We've had good luck with both water wipes and 7th generation. We mostly use 7th generation since I can get them cheaper via Amazon subscribe and save plus they're easier to find locally if we run out.

We do waste wipes too and they are great. It's instant rash for my daughter if I borrow wipes from a friend. We do subscribe and save for them.

My daughter has very sensitive skin and doesn't do well with pampers or buggies wipes. We've had good luck with up and up unscented and seventh generation when we use disposable wipes. We primarily use cloth, but I totally get wanting to throw the yuckiness away.

Water wipes are great, especially for sensitive skin. It's just water with a tiny bit of grapefruit seed extract as a preservative. You can even get them on Amazon.

I cut the roll of paper towels in half, put both halves in a large container with a lid, pour 1-2 tablespoons of his baby shampoo+3 cups of hot water, and each time I do that, I have wipes for about a month. You pull out the inside of the roll (the cardboard part) and then just pull from the inside. Super simple. I'll see if I can find the tutorial.

ETA: All I'm finding are ones that have other ingredients (baby oils, essential oils, etc). I found for my guys that just plain soap and water worked best for us. Here's a pretty basic one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfMtPKb3k4M

My son is a little older than yours and Seventh Generation has worked well for him.

ETA: the thick and strong ones. One wipe is all it takes per change and they haven't irritated him at all and we had lots of diaper rash in the beginning.

It could well be the wipes. DS never had a problem with them, but DD reacted to them very badly and developed a horrible rash when she was only a month old. I don't know if it was the moisture or something chemical. We ended up using regular paper towels - first a damp one, then a dry one. She was much better after that. She grew out of it, now it doesn't bother her if we're on the go and I wipe her with wipes.

Whenever DD developed a diaper rash, I would get these large oval shaped cotton pads from Target, and use the squirt bottle the hospital gave me for my tears, and just squirt water on them and pat her butt. If it was really bad, we rinsed her in the sink.

Plain water on a washcloth, or honest wipes. The ped had us do ointment/diaper rash cream, followed by cornstarch. Clears up any redness. We ended up using honest baby powder as our cornstarch step, and either the honest ointment or destin diaper rash cream. Lp hasn't had anymore diaper rash!

We use Dr. K and love them. LO has dry, sensitive skin and we started with Pampers Sensitive, but it was still too harsh. Dr. K is very natural and effective. We also use a soft dry paper wipe for big messes as an initial clean up.

Pampers sensitive always have my daughter the worst rash- they were awful for her! We use Kirkland wipes now from Costco and have rarely had any issue, they seem much better for sensitive skin. Unfortunately you have to buy a big Costco box to even try them out.

I found using a tissue after wiping in the beginning helped.

My DS has had 2 rough bouts of diaper rash in his short 9 weeks. (One cleared with desitin ...one needed an rx) Both times we have switched to wet paper towels instead of wipes. This past Monday, I finished up a 14 day treatment of anti yeast meds....his bottom was looking good. I kept using paper towels but maybe 3x used wipes because I didn't have any paper towels at the changing table. Guess what he's getting red again!!

I'm wondering maybe his skin is so sensitive the wipes are destroying his tush.

We have used pampers sensitive & huggies naturals...

Anyone know of anything more sensitive? It's so cumbersome when we are out to not use wipes and just a daily pain to cut paper towels into little squares all the time ...haha

Thanks!
