Shaving foam is always a winner with Elliott. We tried playing with sawdust once - burying toys in it and then using it with glue to make pictures - but it went EVERYWHERE! We also like "ice mining" - you freeze toys in a big tub of water (you have to freeze it in layers to space the toys out) then use warm water mixed with salt in squirty toys, plus spoons and other implements to "mine" for toys.

We made a bean bin with pinto beans, scoops, and small plastic frogs/lizards for DS. DH also made homemade, edible playdoh for him that he likes to roll into "worms" and press toys into.

Bean bins, kinetic sand, feather art. I found a ton of other ideas on Pinterest.

LO really liked the cooked spaghetti!

We had an OT appt today and she gave us some great ideas for sensory activities but I wanted to see if you guys had any favorites to suggest!

LO is a sensory seeker and craves deep, physical inputs so her suggestions were obstacle courses made from couch cushions and pillows, encouraging him to climb over the couch cushions, building tunnels, etc.

She also had some great suggestions for tactile sensory activities, like letting him play with cooked spaghetti, creating a cornstarch with water mixture for him to squish around in, etc.

Do you have any other sensory activity suggestions?
