His pediatrician wasn't really helpful to us, so she ended up referring us to their pediatric developmental nurse practitioner in the same practice. I had to push for some time to get this and several other extensive issues evaluated- she also had a two month wait list. She has been absolutely worth the wait and a wealth of resources. </p> <p>She had us ask the school district for an evaluation, and it worked and we got a diagnosis for free. If you have any suspicions a pediatric OT can definitely help! Looking for tips/advice/resources. </p> <p>My 4 year old has been having some issues, and I've been doing research and its pointing to a (in my opinion) mild case of sensory processing disorder. A few of our current issues are her wiping after using the bathroom and insisting she's wet when not, and it becomes a 10 minute ordeal to go pee. Anything loud really upsets her, out of the norm in some instances, in my opinion. Tags on clothes drive her to a tantrum if not taken care of. I'm not a doctor so this is just my assumption. </p>
