we send a dadgeat backpack to daycare. on weekends i use my work tote as a diaper bag.

makes me realize that i probably shouldn't have bought the other 2 diapers bags that are sitting around. dammit.

We send a separate bag to daycare than our diaper bag. It's nothing fancy, just a reusable canvas bag with her stuff that goes back and forth.

She said to bring diapers, wipes, diaper bags, diaper cream and an extra change of clothes to leave there. She said on a daily basis, I should bring her cup, any toy she might be particularly attached to, socks and shoes, anything she needs for napping (Im going to take our travel sized Sleep Sheep and leave it there), plus coat and hat in the winter and sunscreen, etc during the summer.

She takes them to lots of playgroups, the library, indoor play areas, etc. as well as doing art/messy play.

They give us a bag, so they throw in the used bottles, crib sheet, and clothes, if a change happened that day. I use it in the morning to carry bottles, new clothes and bibs.

If they didn't provide one, I would have a separate one for sure. I don't want to carry day care germs around on the weekend.

Now we only have one, but we keep it in the car and usually only use it for daycare and on the weekends. When she was a little thing we had two.

Yeah, I have a diaper bag that goes with her to day care and my purse that stays with me. I've got a little clutch with my ID, debit card, health care card in it, so when we go out (not to daycare) I just throw that and my cell in the diaper bag and I'm good to go!

Yep- we have two bags. We use cloth diapers and they take up a lot of room so her daycare bag has her diapers for the day, cloth wipe stash, wetbag, smaller wetbag for dirty clothes, small size toiletries should they be needed, her notebook for the nanny to write down her daily stuff, and a few extra things (because this is also my diaper bag if we go out after I pick her up). I also send her milk for the day in a little lunch box with a cooler pack that fits in this bag.
Our other bag that we use for outings on the weekends is smaller and has a diaper pod with just one cloth, a small wetbag, some emergency disposables, wet wipes, a couple toys, a couple snacks, a change of shirt for me, hand sanitizer, etc.
ETA: we also use an in-home daycare and she keeps a stash of several emergency onesies, disposable diapers and wipes, and other daily items like binkies and her lovey, crib sheet there. She also keeps a stash of frozen milk there for her and I send food (now that we do solids) every week or so.

I have a separate daycare bag for LO, but it's not a diaper bag (we're using disposables now so they just keep a stash there). Our daycare (also in-home) has a notebook they send back and forth every day with her naps, poops, bottles etc. and notes, so we keep the notebook and anything else she needs in the bag (change of clothes, extra diapers, etc). Sometimes just the notebook goes back and forth but it's nice to have a bag just for all her crap when there's more.

ETA: when we switch to cloth, we'll just throw her big wetbag in there with fresh dipes in the morning, and they'll send it home with us in the afternoon.

I start my job next week and C is starting daycare for the first time on Tuesday. It's a small in-home deal.

Do you have a separate diaper bag to drop of with your LO at daycare? My regular diaper bag is pretty much my purse. :/ Im not totally sure what to do.
