Brat diet and probiotics. For LO (who never gets rashes) our only savior was helping the poops. I tried *everything* under the sun to address the rash but it didn't get better until the poops stopped. Calmoseptine also helped. That stuff is tough; it doesn't budge.

We do probiotics, double dose the first day to combat the diarrea. The only thing different we have tried is cornstarch on the rash. Those 2 things with the baking soda baths seems to clear up the worst for us.

I usually do a thick layer of triple paste when it's that bad. But, last time I did that it was yeast and only made it worse. :crying: I think a nice thick layer of whatever you use is the best you can do for the trip, and frequent stops for changes. Poor guy.

My go to for diaper rash is calmoseptine. I found it in the incontinence aisle at Walgreens.

My 19 month old very rarely gets diaper rash, and right now he has an awful one we can't seem to kick. He's had diarrhea and been pooping like crazy since Friday, which is obviously not helping the rash at all. The rash is smooth so not yeasty, but the skin is starting to break in some spots because it's so raw. :-(. We have a 7 hour drive home tomorrow and I'm not sure what to do!

Any crazy amazing suggestions? We've done baths with baking soda, diaper free time, not using wipes just water / washclothes, and putting A+D and max strength desitin on every diaper change.
