@Mrs. Jump Rope: Thank you so much for your advice! After consulting my OB (who also said it sounds like I have SPD) I hightailed it to Buy Buy Baby and bought a support belt. What a miracle....the pain isn't gone, but it is so much better!!!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I just googled it and it definitely describes what I'm dealing with right now! I called my OB to see what they suggest this late in the game. Thank you!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: What is SPD? Yes, if I keep my knees together it helps. Somewhat hard when trying to walk etc.! What pelvic support belt did you buy? Sorry for all of the questions...clearly I am clueless on this topic!

Sounds like SPD!

I've had it off and on throughout this pregnancy, but not with my first. I have a pelvic support belt that works wonders.

Without one, I am careful of my movement. I get in and out of bed & the car keeping my knees together.

Just yesterday my pelvic pain went from mild to severe out of nowhere. I was playing with my daughter and suddenly had intense pain in my inner thigh/crotch region that didn't go away. I've read it's normal for hormones to cause loosening of ligaments etc. around this time, but this is just nuts. I did not have this whatsoever while pregnant with my daughter, so this has totally surprised me. I don't think baby has dropped yet, and apparently he is just pushing on nerves etc?

Has anyone else experienced this? Tips/ ideas to naturally relieve the pain? Is a heating pad safe for a short time? The pain is most intense getting in bed, changing positions in bed, and walking up the stairs. Basically anytime my legs are spread apart slightly I get shooting pains.
