She and Matt just didn't have it. You could blame them both, but Matt did have chemistry with previous anchors so I guess he gets a free pass.</p> <p>I do think she's better suited elsewhere. I think it's horrible that this was all over the internet before she actually said goodbye. They also did not give her a lovey send-off like they have given other people that have left the show. Instead it was just, see ya later Ann. </p> <p>I don't think she was a good fit for that position, though. She never was. I didn't like her on the Today Show except when she was doing hard reporting. She is an excellent reporter and does great work in the field. It sounds like she is going back to that work and I'm glad to hear that. </p> <p>I stopped watching The Today Show after Katie left. Yes, she's no Meredith Vieira, but she should have been treated with more dignity and respect esp. for someone whose been on the show for 15 years.</p> <p>Also I love how people love to scapegoat a woman. Of course, it was Ann's fault the ratings dropped. I'm sorry, but that show is an ensemble cast, and to just say Ann was what caused the show to slide is ludicrous.</p> <p>Furthermore, Today should have given Ann more time to improve. I mean freaking CBS gave Katie Couric, who sucked, years to try to gain viewership.</p> <p>Not sure I can continue to watch the show after they treat their own staff so poorly.</p> <p>Sorry, I'm done ranting. </p>
