I cheaped out on the seat cushion and bought a full-size egg crate from target and cut it in half so I could double it up and it would be comfortable (it fits the bench perfectly.) I cut a piece of thin MDF board and put it at the bottom of the egg crate and then stapled on fabric. Cost about $15 compared to the $100 ones I found online.
