@Navy_Mommy: Yay! I have those same sunnies too!

@hilsy85: That's awesome! I still haven't figured out that trick yet!

Um... mine is that K wouldn't sleep but an hour TOTAL on our 10 hour flight. Still didn't sleep for most of our 4 hour layover, so I popped her in the K'tan and she passed out. Stayed asleep IN the K'tan for the whole entire 4 hour flight until final descent! We didn't move, get up to pee, or anything! Even the flight attendant didn't want to disturb us and let her stay in the carrier (when they usually tell you baby has to be out of carried to takeoff/landing). Not sure how comfy it was for K, but sleep-wise and being a quiet passenger, it was a win.

I wore DS to Petsmart and Albertsons yesterday. It's so nice to have my hands free. People comment on how cute he is but don't try to touch him. He gets to see what's going on, but when he's tired of looking around and wants to sleep he just puts his head on my chest and sleeps. I feel so much better getting out of the house for a little while and resuming some of my normal routines.

I have my own ring sling that I made and last week LO fell asleep on the way to the grocery store. I put her in her ring sling, with her barely waking, and she napped for half of an hour while we shopped.

It made me feel pretty victorious.

@hilsy85: I'm very impressed that you nursed in the Ergo! I've tried it a couple times and just can't seem to get it/LO in the right position for it to work.

I got a SBP ring sling a few weeks ago, and I've been using it pretty regularly. I think I've finally gotten into a groove with putting it on and putting LO in it. FINALLY. The first couple times I was so frustrated because it took forever to adjust.

I'm definitely going to try out a wrap at some point. It may not be until I have #2 though. I love my Ergo and RS!

@Navy_Mommy: @Mrs. Twine: Maybe I'll go with a 4. That doesn't seem to crazy long to me, but it seems that I would still have some versatility. I'm pretty small.

@Weagle; I like longer wraps, personally. I don't get the whole "shorty" thing. I prefer to be able to do it all. I agree about wanting something longer to start with. You would have more versatility, and also start learning carries where perfection isn't quite as much an object.

@Weagle: a shortie will be hard to start with since you primarily do single pass carries with it and it's harder to get a good seat with a single pass carry. I only like sizes 3, 4, and 5.

@Navy_Mommy; Natibaby is one I have not wrapped with. I will be a bad influence and say you should get it and wrap with it regardless. It is a neat print! I have seven wraps and two ring slings (two wrapsody, two oscha, two ellevill, one storch for wraps, and a Comfy Joey RS and one made by a friend). I've tried mei teis but just never been that into them. My excuse is that I plan to start a library in our area and teach people about babywearing. Right after I run for President. ;)
