I want to remember her at this age always. She does the sweetest and heartmelting things! She'll get a tissue for others if she sees them sneeze or crying. She'll greet us at the door when we get home with our house slippers ready for us to wear. The other day she handed me my purse by the door and said "bye mommy" while she stayed home with daddy. </p> <p>2) DD is very independent and can entertain herself for long periods of time but she'll call out " where's mommy?" every 20 minutes or so to make sure I am still home. </p> <p>3) I love that she loves to dance. She can watch a video and does a really good job mimicking the way people dance. LO has developed this special “funny smile” (her words) to show to babies who are crying, to make them happy again. Whenever we hear a baby crying, she will bust out the “funny smile” for them. She also tells babies (and their mothers) that “babies like me because they know that I am a good friend”. She likes to give to others, and is just generally really thoughtful of other people’s feelings. The empathy is strong in this one!</p> <p>#2: Her imagination. She is content to play games using her imagination – she loves movies and vegging out in front of the TV too, but she loves playing with dolls and does different voices for them and everything, and makes up whole storylines for them. I like to see her mind working and growing.</p> <p>3#: LO is so loving. She always wants to be holding my hand, and loves being worn still because she likes to hear my heart (she told me this :heart: ). He's just starting to meaningfully talk, and I love hearing his thoughts expressed this way, his little voice, his cute pronunciations, everything!</p> <p>2. He just started to wave and say "hi" but its more like a low growling "haaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiii" and it cracks us up.</p> <p>2. He has just his two top and bottom teeth so when he laughs and smiles he looks like a little bunny.</p> <p>3. He's in this sweet spot in terms of his sleep. Even if he wakes early, he just sits and plays in his crib until we go get him. No crying, super happy. His sense of humor...he's a little trickster! He teases DH when we're walking around the neighborhood with his wagon. Tells DH it's his turn, then runs off with it. </p> <p>2. The way he says "thank you" after we give him something, "bless you" after you sneeze, or "be careful!" when we leave to go somewhere and he's not coming. He's starting to be really thoughtful just like DH and I love that he's picking up that quality from him. </p> <p>3. How inquisitive he is. He's in the stage where he wants and needs to know all of the details about something. Bubbles, balls, me putting blackberries on his tray, it all blows his mind. He makes this little shocked face and says "ooooh!" 2. He gives the best hugs where he really grips on tight and doesn't want you to let him go. 3. He says "mama" and it is the best sound ever! </p> <p>DD - 1. She has started running and it's adorable. We call it the Phoebe run (from Friends) because she kicks her legs out to the side. It doesn't really get her anywhere faster because she expends all this enegery kicking her legs up and out to the side. 2. She's started bartering for things that she wants. When I'm drinking my coffee she will bring me her sippy cup and offer it to me while pointing to my coffee. Yesterday she took her toy phone to DH and tried to trade him for his real cell phone! 3. Everything he does and sees elicits a huge, "WOW!" Seeing life through his eyes has been so exciting for me.</p> <p>2 - He loves sports. Golf, baseball, football...it doesn't matter. He is happiest when he is playing a sport. It can be exhausting, but it's so fun to watch him pick up the nuances of each game and develop his skills. </p> <p>3 - He is hilarious. His vocabulary is huge, so he is constantly telling funny stories and making up silly songs. He is a sensitive child and looks out for other children, especially his little sister. He is also a mama's boy through and through. :heart: </p> <p>DD - is 19 months and is creeping towards her language explosion. I love to hear her say "oh no!" Her current favorite activity is to pull out the first thing she can get her hands on from DS's dresser and put it on. Then she'll walk around so proud that she was able to put two legs in one hole of DS's underwear, it's really funny. She is also very sweet and cuddly and still likes to snuggle. :heart: </p>
