The first time I pumped and got more than just colostrum it was super early and I was very sleep deprived. I went to the bathroom sink to wash the pump parts, but first I poured the milk from one bottle into the other to combine it all in one bottle. I put a squirt of soap into the emptied bottle and set it aside while I washed the flange. Then I looked up, saw the empty bottle and thought, "Oh look, I missed some milk." and promptly poured the soap into the bottle of breastmilk. Thankfully I realized my mistake as soon as it happened, and dumped the milk. But seriously, it killed me to dump that precious milk!

I forgot to bring my pump parts to work last week. So, I hand-expressed 9.5oz of milk during three breaks from an all-day meeting at my client's office while my hospital grade pump sat idle on the floor next to me.

I got myself all hooked up and...no suction. Because I had forgotten to attach the white membranes to the yellow valves (Medela pump) and they were still at home on the drying rack. Thank goodness there's a Target a couple blocks away!

Oh, and last night I left my cooler full of pumped milk in the fridge at work...no biggie because daycare is right across the street so I brought empty bottles to fill up there, but I felt kinda dumb.

I pumped and pumped and pumped so I could build a bit of a stash while traveling through California last summer. And then I left all of it in a hotel mini-fridge. We were about 2 hours away before I realized it and decided not to turn back. D'oh!

I'm so terrified of that (even tough I have a reasonable sized stash) that the first thing I do when I walk in the door is put it away! I always pack my pump parts at night, too so I don't forget anything.

The only "doh" (more like shit I want to cry) moment is not paying attention when pouring bottles and spilling milk. I've forgotten to lock the door a few times, luckily no one has walked in. I've pretty much taken over one of our small conference rooms, so everyone avoids it now.

One of the bottles was really full so I leaned over to grab another bottle to swap out mid pump and spilled milk all over me through the tiny hole in the pump valve... This was of course in the middle of the night :/

I sometimes forgot to connect the bottles to my pump parts. Usually I catch it before I start but once I pumped for like 30 seconds like this and spilled milk on my legs.

The second day I was back at work after maternity leave, I walked out of the room where I pump with my shirt totally unbuttoned. I only noticed because a co-worker (male) walked by me and gave me a really weird look. Luckily, he was the only one who noticed! Lol. Ah, those crazy sleep deprived days.

I did that a few weeks ago :( :( :( and it was a rare amazing pumping day too!

also last week i had pumped at home and left the bottle out on the counter while playing with my daughter, she reached over to pick it up (ooh, milk!) and threw it...MILK EVERYWHERE!!! on the stroller, table, literally, everywhere.

I'm so sorry :( Pumping sucks man. My first big "d'oh" moment was when I got one of the flaps of my pumping bra stuck under the flange and a good portion of milk leaked all over my bra-- which was really tragic because at that point I was only pumping 10-20ml at a time. My second moment was when I dropped one of the bottles when I was disconnecting and spilled half of it on the floor. The third and worst one was when I realized the yellow part of the valve detaches, which I never knew!, and found mold and had to dump the previous night's pumping, which broke my low-supply heart.

I've left my bottles at home, brought all my parts except for the silicone cups (I have an Ameda), and left my milk in the cooler overnight (not in the fridge). Thank goodness it didn't spoil!

Once I forgot all my pump parts so I tried to bribe a labor and delivery nurse to get me a new set out of the supply closet. She refused to let me give her anything for it, so I got her a coffee and chocolate croissant from Sbucks. She saved me!

I've forgotten milk on the counter several times and want to cry afterwards. I've also spilled an entire bottle in my lap when disconnecting.

I've had so many--forgetting to attach the bottles, like Lawbee...., pumping and then forgetting to put the milk in the fridge, getting my flanges stuck in the pumping bra and not understanding why I'm not getting any suction on one side....

I've forgotten to attach the bottles to my pump a couple of times while pumping at work. And I usually don't realize until I feel milk soaking through my pants.

Things were really hectic last night and I forgot to put my milk away when I got home... And I didn't realize it until this morning. I don't have a stash, so she's getting almost all formula today.

I know it's not the end of the world, but she *just* got her stomach back on track after her stomach bug, so I'm worried this will upset it.

Anyone else have an oops move they want to share.
