Don't get me wrong, she still had fun, with about 12 of her cousins and friends (all 2 and under) in attendance. But I didn't do any decorations and certainly no goodie bags. I focused on food (I made the Momofuku Bo Ssam, along with other mostly Korean dishes) and good beer. We sent out the invites two or three weeks before hand, it was pizza and wings, and a fancy cake. I remember joking that the "theme" was whatever was on clearance at Party City. We didn't throw anything too big. </p> <p>DS's first bday is happening in Feb, and on his actual day it will be just us. We are going to keep it low key, because DD and DS's bdays are super close and we are doing a combined party.
