@kml636: That could definitely be O, but it's never confirmed until you have 3 temps above your coverline. How long are your cycles normally?

This is my second month charting, so I'm still learning and would love input. I've had one huge dip and one small dip post-O, but no spotting so I don't think either could be implantation. :(

Ladies, I just started charting and I'm so not sure of what I'm doing... Yesterday my temp was up .2 and now it's up another .2 but I usually have a longer cycle so I wasn't expecting to O until mon/tues... Help?

@mrskc: @arielle9510: I hope that you ladies are just too early!!

I added that I had creamy CM today to FF and it told me that I have a "possibly triphasic chart" which I know doesn't really mean anything, but it's the first time I've seen that! I'm still holding out to test until the 14th or 15th, which is when I'm expecting AF.

@arielle9510: Your temp didn't go below cover line, so that's good. And it's good that the spotting stopped. It could've been implantation spotting.

@hilsy85: I caved. I tested this morning. BFN. But it's still so early. We are all very close in our DPO! I hope we all have good news.

@arielle9510: Definitely a good thing! And I hate it when I have to get up in the middle of the night--I always forget to temp when I get up, but then I feel like it screws up my temp when I do take it. So yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about today's temp. Fingers crossed!!

Temp went down a little bit today, but I'm thinking I should just disregard it altogether. I had to get up two times in the night to go to the bathroom (stomach issues) and then again 20 min before I was supposed to temp. I haven't had anymore spotting though so I guess that's a good thing?

@bakingAbug: It's been a while since you asked, but I'm using Creighton as well! I've been charting with it for about a year and using it to avoid since my wedding last spring. Part of what I love about it is its proactive approach to fertility issues. I've been able to identify and begin addressing some issues before my husband and I were ready to ttc. Not to mention how awesome it is to no longer wake up to temp!

Hi Jenna!
You might want to get a hormone pannel run. If you do the blood test a couple days before you expect your period you can also validate if you ovulated. Looking at your charts there isn't clear signs of ovulation. The dotted line on FF indicates that there are some inconstancies between your temps and other fertility signs so you might be right.

I know some doctors want to "wait" before running any tests but it doesn't make any sense to me. Your charts indicate irregularities and a hormone panel is a simple test to run. My Naturopathic Doctor ran thyroid, LH (should indicate if you ovulated), Progesterone, Estrogen, and a couple others I can't remember. I actually sought out my ND for TTC because I knew my PC physician wouldn't be very proactive and I didn't really want to get an OB/GYN unless I had to (I plan to use midwife during pregnancy and geeee just my luck my ND is also a midwife!). Hopefully your Dr will be open to running some basic tests.

Charting is driving me crazy. Just for once I wish my patterns would be normal... FF is telling me I O'd, but I'm pretty sure I didn't.

I've had four irregular cycles off of birth control now. After how many cycles should I contact my Dr.?

It's actually really simple, even if you don't have much CM. Those are called dry days where you are not fertile. You basically wipe before and after using the restroom or having a movement with flat white tissue. You swipe your finger across the tissue to check for CM. If there isn't any, you are considered dry. If there is something, you test the stretchability between your thumb and forefinger and note the color, lubrication and how much it stretched. Every day you mark your most fertile CM and how many times you had it.

The goal is to play ball on the days you have fertile mucous which is defined by clear, stretches an inch or more and/or is lubricative.
